Beginner's Guide to the Mathematics of Machine Learning
Welcome to the Beginner's Guide to the Mathematics of Machine Learning (ML)!
You will find topics that are useful for novice ML practitioners to better understand the underlying mathmatical concepts and skills needed for machine learning. As an enthusiastic individual who lacks in fundamental mathmatics in this field of study, I have decided to embark on a journey to find own answers to various math problems that have been puzzling me for a while studying machine learning techniques. Certainly, such a journey has enabled me to not only acquire required mathematical skills, but also develop a deeper understanding of the subject.Keep in mind that I do not have a degree in math or work with math in my regular job. I have been previously exposed to calculus, linear algebra and statistics, but it was roughly 20 years ago during my sophomore year of college. I believe not being a person who constantly works with math puts me on the perfect spot to explain complex topics to those who are similar to me. My motto is if a non-math guy like me can understand and explain it, anyone can do the same. This was my motivation of making this site to share my learning experience with ML maths and at the same time, to serve it as my working notes. I hope you find this site useful and enjoy reading my blog posts !!!
